Pazo Pondal winery naturally blends into the impressive landscape of Arbo, Condado do Tea. The outdoor areas inspire and delight visitors, who are able to enjoy the exceptional views of our vineyards.
Currently, we are the second generation in a family tradition dedicated to the cultivation of our beloved Albariño. After many years of hard work, we saw our dreams come true in 2006 with the inauguration of the Pazo Pondal winery, built on the Pondal plot from which it gets its name.
We have inherited the passion, devotion and love of the vineyards from our ancestors, and are increasingly dedicated to viticulture that is responsible and respectful of the environment.
Wine Tourism
Ours is a perfect place for visitors to enjoy a unique experience exploring the various different aspects of Galician viticulture and, of course, sample our wines.
Located in the Valley of the Miño River, in a natural setting afforded by the majestic Rias Baixas landscape, we are the ideal starting point for wine lovers setting off along the Galician wine route.
Our region is known for its exquisite dishes made from Lamprey, a fish that still swims up the Miño River to spawn (although in increasingly fewer numbers). The flesh of this fish is a rare treat, much appreciated by food lovers. It is here, in the Condado do Tea region, where our story began.
Pazo Pondal offers visitors a unique opportunity to see how our fine wines are made, first-hand.
With its comfortable, modern facilities, set in magnificent natural surroundings, it also offers visitors a well-earned break.
A large tasting and reception room and a terrace overlooking 15 hectares of vines merging into the surrounding Portuguese countryside, comfortable rooms with views of the vineyards, and the Galician tradition of friendly, personalized service that will make you feel right at home.

The stunning scenery, the serenity of the cellars where the wines lay quietly ageing in the vats, the aromas of wine and the surrounding countryside, all combine to create a pleasant visitor experience.
